I have just remodeled my kitchen and am going to make top treatments for my blinds this week. We are fortunate to have a furniture company in town that has a fabric outlet. I found some gorgeous tapestry fabric ($4 a yard) that coordintes well with my colors. It is a little heavy so I decided to make them fairly straight with an inverted box pleat about every 24". The windows are 75" wide and 60" wide. Now, here's my question... Will these look ok on a pole rod without the rings? I found a very pretty bronze rod with golden finials at the ends. Or, should I exchange my pole rod for a basic 2" wide metal rod that is not a pole rod? Which do you think would look best? I really do appreciate your ideas.
