hey tmg- welcome to the world of abstracts! This is also easy to do without working it on paper first: If your surface is continuously flat (like a ball or a plain box without drawers, hinges & all that type of stuff), take that ol' GEII gun, and simply draw out your next shape, smooth it out with your handy-dandy plastic knife, then fill it in.
When I did the backsplash, I actually set the tiles on FIRST, because I wanted to know that I had each piece in the right spot (I was paying WAY too much attention to grout lines), and then I glued each one down. I just went this-a-way, and that-a-way until I had the 'globby' shapes that you are currently working on paper.
Anyway, have a blast!

Rorschach Inkblot Test! I love abstract......I just never have the patience to actually draw a design....I can't draw a stick figure though..so doesn't matter! If you do an abstract, no doubt it will be amazing!!! Anxious to see!
