The adhesive used for the flower picture was the GEII Silicone. I thought it was easy and liked using it very much because some of that glass was wavy and the silicone also acted as a leveler.

But I haven't used the silicone since only because I wasn't
happy with the backside of the piece...silicone looks nasty from behind. But I'd surely use it again.

From that piece on I've used the Mac...like the way it feels, very watery and neat. The Weldbond glue application is almost like Mac, just a little thicker...but with extreme tidiness comes impatience
for me. So I can't wait for Weldbond to dry so Mac it is.

As far as pricing & of course shipping in your case, I'm not sure I'd do it. It's good but not the be-all-end-all of adhesives.

If your plan is to do a lot of GOG's where the back of the picture will be seen at close range, it may be exposed to the elements and you're impatient, then I would invest in the Mac.(The jury's still out for me as to outdoor Mac use)

If you're doing GOG's for the indoors and have all the time in the world, I'd use the Weldbond.

If you're doing GOG's strictly for the outdoors I'd go back to the Silicone.

I think Im going to try the mac. I don't like silcone because it's so messy and the back of the project looks bad. Have you tested mac on an outdoor piece yet?
The postage for 1 bottle of mac to here would cost me $36 US, and the aussie dollar is lower then the US. The guy at mac advised me to buy more ten one bottle. Is it worth it you think?

Yes. I think that if you're going to go ahead and get 1
then save yourself some money in the long run and take the deal. I can't imagine anyone not liking the Mac.

I did a 3 day submersion test on the Mac awhile back and I was not able to even pry it off of the base glass after the 3 days. But as for leaving it outside for years I have no experience there. I'd give it a go though...the stuff dries crystal clear.
