WIP lazy Susan

This is ready to be grouted.

Made this for my counter and the MANY salt/pepper shakers we seem to gather ( none of them cute or pretty either!)

It's supposed to be a ketchup bottle spilling out. the bottle part is plain, but I want it FLAT so that is how it is going to stay. Probably do the charcoal or black grout.

I'm planning a nice wooden one for my table

Nice looking Lazy Bill! Grout that puppy!

Very nice! What a clever design! You could always paint something on top of the ketchup bottle if you didn't want it plain and still keep it flat....although, it's obvious that it's what it is...Great job!

Ya know, if that waz heinz ketchup, it wouldn't spill out as fast!! "Anticipation...." remember that commercial?LOL!

Great looking piece Maria! Now, grout and post!!!

    Cute!

Where do you all get lazy susans? I want a small one for my table and can never find them.

Very cute Maria! Did you use your Morton system to cut the glass?

Great job.......................anxious to see it grouted!!

What a clever idea. The pages are flying so fast, I can't keep up. Good job - the top of the bottle looks so authentic.

Great job. I also would like to know where to find lazy susans.

    Walmart usually has them.
The last one I bought though was from IKEA. It was cheap! I use it to hold my stepping stones when I'm working on them.

Looks great, I like the use of the glass globs too.

I've been looking for something for something like that too. Is it wood or plastic?? I want one sturdy enough to hold a bb while Im mosaicing it.

What a neat idea! Really cool!

I'm glad it looks like a ketchup bottle to you guys. I was going to do a ketchup and mustard bottle, but didn't have the right color yellow.

That's a smaller rubbermaid lazy susan. I find them all the time at garage sales. I got a bigger wooden one at Biglots!

Nope, Barb, those are pre cut ( the bottle on the ring saw). Did play with Morton a bit today.

I'm going to try and grout tomorrow. Pesky job got in the way today LOL

The ones at IKEA and Walmart are wood.
The IKEA one was only $6.00.

I've seen the wood ones at big lots too

It does look fantastic now that it has been grouted. I didn't realize you used red mirror tiles for it! Great job...so when are you going to start your next one? LOL

    Barb

Yes, the dark grout makes it pop and I really like the bottle design idea.

Great job! The grout really works with the colors. I've got 2 lazy susan projects waiting for me in the shed...1 is aluminum and 1 is wood. Found the metal in a TS, and the wooden one is really the base to some sort of display unit they were trashing in the gift shop at the hospital where I work...yes I dumpster dive the GS's trash at work. Both are good size pieces too.

What a fun piece! I love the design. ~: )
