Jane, could you run an edge around the corners & top and only grout inside that line? That way, you'd still have clear glass in the bottom part. I think the geode piece would look fantastic grouted.

I love your windows. I am getting ready to start a very similar project. I want to hang the old windows in place of traditional window treatments on the top halves of my kitchen windows. Since I have grapes in my kitchen your piece really caught my eye. Be sure to post more pictures!

Oh my Gosh! How beautiful!!!! What glue are you using and where did you get your agate? I would use black grout if I were grouting! Are you hanging the agate one outside? You have done an awesome job..that's my kind of mosaicing!

I just love the agate one! I do a very similar craft with stained glass & black grout in old windows & large frames.
Please let me know how the agate one turned out. If you decided to grout it or not and what effect the black grout
had on the agate. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Those are just beautiful. I am new to this forum, and am playing with windows and stained glass. While I can't cut intricite peices, I did some free style I guess you could say. Here are a few of mine.

I want to buy stained windows for the top portion of my bathroom windows. Can someone recommend where I could buy that is reasonably priced? I live in Louisiana.

Look in the yellow pages for a Stained Glass Studio or store and ask them to see what they can order for you.
This way you can be sure you get unbroken glass.

I am assuming from the sound of your post , you want full sheets of stained glass to replace the window pane ?

If you want art work as in a panel design you get what you pay for .
Be sure to get an artist with a good reputation because a poorly made panel can simply fall apart from it's own weight.
-and-
Repairs can cost more than the original cost of the new panel because it is very labor intensive.

I recently finished my 8 paned window, doing a mosic lighthouse. I would love to hear what you all think. It sure took me a while to get it done, but I think it turned out pretty good.

WOW - someone has been very busy. Love them all. You faux stained glass looks VERY realistic, especially the eagle and red hatters. Stepping stones and bowling balls are GREAT, as well as the flower garden. Very nice work all around.

Hey Calamity, I thought I posted to this already but it's gone. Are there more photos of your windows than just two? I can see icons where other pics might've been and am wondering if I'm missing out on more! lol

the two window pics I see are the grapes with little bottles at the bottom and the bunny ones. Both are LOVELY! The bunny is absolutely adorable!!!!! The grapes one is soooo pretty too...love the little bottles at the bottom...such a nice touch! Great job!
