How much difference does 1" make?

Tested out some Smith Brothers sofas. The ones that are comfortable and fit "just right" have seat depth of 21" and seat height of 19" - but the one I'm looking to purchase has a seat depth of 22" and seat height of 20".

I'm 5'5" - trying to decide if those extra inches on seat height and depth will make a difference. There weren't any models on the floor with the 22/20" depth/height to test.

I mostly lie and/or sleep on my sofa rather than sit.

None of the "just right" sofas have an adequate inside width (longer than 63"), or they have t-cushions that cannot be rotated for even usage, so that's why I'm not really considering purchasing any of those.

So... opinions?
