Testing a new technique ... can you tell ?

I wanted to try to make something using the snippet method - or whatever it's called . Here's my experiment .... it's not even finished - but can you tell it's a tiger ? ( Will look alot better with the backround and grout ...)

I'm not sure I like this method --- those tiny shards are sharp ! LOL

Looks nice from here. Glad you're doing a tiger. I was going to try it, but want to see what you went through first. The snippet method is faster, and can really turn out nice.

    That is freakin' fab!!!! Amazing!!!

B/f I read you comments, I said "oh, what a neat tiger". TMG - you're really on a roll. Keep it UP, please. They are sharp, but tumbling would take that away. It's a wonderful piece.

Oh MY!!! It's VERY realistic... and wonderful! Do I see paper behind it....? Is this an indirect? Or....?

Of course it looks like a tiger! And a very nice one at that! Hope your fingers heal soon!

Very cool! I see work like this, and realize what an amateur I am!

Another great piece...can't wait to see it finished.

TMG- That method is perfect for that tiger. It looks great.. Wench is another one of those great snippet method people that always make things that look great that way. You are doing an awesome job with it...seems like this technique works for you!!!!

Love the tiger. No problems recognizing him!

You are doing great with the snippet method. Are they rectangle pieces cut with your Leoponnits? It's fun trying new methods. It's really fun when it works. Great job!

This looks awesome! And I knew right away it was a tiger.

THat's what it is -- just casually snipped with the Leoponnits ! I Had my picture drawn on tracing paper .......... instead of transferring it to the board - I just glued the paper on it. ( I love shortcuts !) LOL

I love this! I can't wait to see it finished. What color will you use to fill in the background?

I had to laugh at the DNA comment. A few weeks before Christmas I told DH that if anything happened to me and they needed a sample that he shouldn't forget I cut glass because there's plenty of evidence at the workbench.

    Love the tiger.

TMG I think you did a great job of this. You draw so well. Isn't it you that does the pretty horses??
This snipping idea is so neat.
