Wow! Adding some height above the uppers and the new lighting really has transformed the space. Appears more balanced. It was always beautiful, but I love the changes.

I am definitely NOT an expert on styling/styles etc. I just do what I like and most of the time it turns out pleasing to others as well...

just a thought - what would those wall lights look like if when you hardwired them in, they were upside down? I don't know if it changes the modern asthetic or not... the question just popped into my head -- plus it might give you more task lighting.

as I said, I really don't know ... and it looks good already... but the idea crossed my mind and you haven't permanently hung the lights yet...
