Wowzzaaa now THATS a makeover. Unbelievable job. Really amazing what you can do with just painting those cabs. Your formica countertop looks really really great. I was on the fence and ultimately went with granite for mine but sometimes think I should have just gone your route, saved the money. It looks LOVELY! Pat on the back to you.

what edge did you use on the counter? what faucet? is that a kohler forte? looks like the one I'm looking at. I looked at it in real last wk and it seemed rather 'fat' - your doesn't look overly 'fat' tho.

Your cabinets really look fantastic. I would also love to know about the paint that you used and color. My bathroom vanity looks just like your before & I have been thinking about replacing but didn't want to spend the money because we were doing the kitchen at the same time. It looks great!

Yes, I did the backsplash last and knew it couldn't be too busy.

The cabinet paint we got from Lowes - Behr oil-based in the color "Sweet Molasses". It stinks and takes a long time to dry, but I think the durability is worth it. We used a liquid "Deglosser" as prep for the paint.

Yes, that is a Kohler Forte faucet, in brushed chrome. We're pleased with it.

The undercabinet lights are GE Slimline flourescents, pretty affordable. They are hardwired using the GE 24772 junction box - you can run the proper wiring in the wall from the switch to the junction box, which then lets you plug in the lamps with their included link cables.

Wow is right! Your cabs look totally new. Great job with the makeover. Everytime I softly place a plate on our hard (quartz) countertops, I get the wisdom of linoleum - especially today's complete reinvention of that product.

Counters have a bullnose edge, and the tiles are approximately 2x12, there is some variation in the height.

I love your new look, but I also love that your before pictures look like a kitchen that gets lived in! The pics with all life's stuff gathered here and there on the counters and stuck to the fridge just look like home. LOL!
