Hey! I got it too!! I ALMOST spent 5.00 on a plate today at an antique shop to SMASH!! I didn't, thank goodness, but the delusions are getting worse. I gotta go lay down...

Yeah - just like a mosaic colony - who knows, we could take over the whole state of TX. Hey, if y'all moved here, maybe I could clean out my garage, sneak some of the stuff into some of yours so I could buy more stuff. Oh, yeah, I caught it, but I found a cure - it's just one more garage sale or flea market and then I'm done. Oh, BTW, ROSIE found a new flea market in our town. I'm not going - I have enough stuff - Oh wait, I think I might squeeze a few minutes into my schedule next Friday morning. But I'm only driving ROSIE there - I'm staying in the Jeep while she shops. Uh - **sigh**!

You guys are so funny. I also have this illness. lol. I try and justify by taking things to donate to the thrift store periodically, makes me feel so much better. Jane is like my personal shopping assistant, she helps me find stuff to buy. Last summer when I was off work Jane and I had wonderful times garage sailing, this year no more weekends off boohoo.Janie I got next Friday off, sure could use your help to go shoppin. Rosie and Betty are both badly infected with GHIS, I saw evidence of this in Mexico, I think they're in denial though.

... And in that village, there was a glass shop, filled with all kinds of shiny glass. There were irridized, opalized, textured, metallic, and mirrored glass. In this special village anyone that could break or crack glass was permitted to walk in and select anything she (he) wanted to use. Everything was free just for using it. It was very much like a gingerbread house full of candy and sweets but for the tenants of this village glass, glass, and more glass was the desired treat.

BARBARA: All it w/take for you to get back into the groove is to break and glue - then you're off and running again. I'm in withdrawals cuz there's so much yard work to do, and am sooooooo anxious to mosaic again SOON. The Mosaic Colony w/be part of my daydreams today.

Yesterday as I was gardening(gotta do that to see the garden art!) I thought yet again of the idea of a convention, say in 2010, I'd need that long to save up, and pick a spot that we could all meet!!! It would be HEAVEN on Earth!!! Take over a gymnasium for a weekend and nip away!!! We could even have a "donation can" to help people attend! Ahhh, We'd have to line up and just hug each other as we walked thru the door!!! Cheering, carrying on....a Hoot!!!

now, I am refusing to say that I'm a packrat or a 'collector'..now, I have come to terms with the simple fact that I am a bona fide 'household squirrel'

as far as the china goes...I found a set in a dusty thrift store this weekend..
they had only $10 on them..antiques at that..but I had no cash..then....
so, since they were closed over the weekend, I will gather the $10 and if I buy other things, he will break down the prices of sets..hmmmm
that makes the set at least a couple of dollars less
and man oh man..the number of really nice pieces that will make.
it's all this aged creamy antique-y color, with gold trim.
and printed centers...
also, now when I have things packed to the rafters in ford explorer, no one knows if I'm either coming or going with it..I simply say that it's headed for storage.
that could mean that I gathered it from around the house and have it ready to go..or, in reality, I just came from a thrift store with it all and haven't had a chance to squirrel it away in here..lol
no matter...when I die..I don't have to think about it!

SShhhhh ...... I've got 30 bowling pins stashed in the back of my van ... heheh ..

and I have about 50 bb's hidden up in the hills, in the brush!..no kidding..when I moved back to my own house, I didn't want to have to haul them again..once from the bowling alley was enough, so we tossed them in a pickup and found a secluded place to stash them..the ones that make it through the seasons, are the ones I'll keep and maybe one day..mosaic them. or else the leprechans and wood nympths can have them for a place to sunbathe...

Well, my addiction is having a flare up right now!!! Found out yesterday that I'm to start in a new territory on Monday. Best part is the area has a fairly high per capita income, so the TS pickin's should be pretty good. Around here, seems like the higher the average income, the better the stuff for the price. Already scoping out the house to figure out where I can stash some new goodies!!
