I just had 18 new double hung Andersen Woodwright windows installed, and I can still feel a very, very slight draft and/or a sense of "coldness" at night in the immediate vicinity of the windows, like within an inch of the glass. How tight a seal should I expect? I've never had brand new windows before, so I'm used to living with drafts, but I guess I was expecting to feel no air at all and coldness only upon touching the glass. I really don't notice it during the day (when the contractor is here, of course) but just after the sun goes down at night. The new windows are still a 100% improvement over the old, but for what I paid, I was expecting an air tight seal.
