I know that when I did a user name change, they don't do anything to make it easy.
I simply used my secondary email address and joined again, under this new 'aka'

Whew! That was some DRA-MA. I caught up with it just now. I don't really know how it feels; there aren't a whole lot of Kellys. But, my best friend, Jennifer, was one of about ten in our graduating class. Also, being a teahcer last year I had a Kim, Kyler, Casey, Kelsey, and Chelsea. They are all seperate names, but with the just about the same starting sound, they felt lost in the shuffle. Being the eldest child in my family, I HAVE to have things that are MINE. I put my name on everything. My DH always jokes that one day I'll stop puting my name on stuff and just lift my leg and pee on things to mark my territory. (Huhhhhh, maybe a little off the subject now.)
Anywho....greyhounds? Do you rescue? I'm a shar pei person myself, but boy, greyhounds are GORGEOUS animals. There is a rescue about ten miles from me and they take them to our area petco for adoptions. They are beautiful animals! Any luck with that fireplace screen?

Strangely enough, I've only met about 1 or 2 other Hazels in my whole life, so it's been a new experience for me to have a name conflict:)

We did rescue our 2 greyhounds and I spend a lot of time on a greyhound forum too. The retired racers are a different kettle of fish from most other dogs I ever had - not being raised as pets, they have some interesting issues but are basically big sweet goofy couch potatoes. As you say though, different topic.

Thanks for all the responses on my fire screen question - I had suspected that it may have to be a purely ornamental rather than functional thing. But it still would be a fun project - you could always use a bunch of candles behind it rather than the full heat of a fire.

My daughter and SIL have two rescued greyhounds. Wonderful, lovable doggies. They are Santa and Chloe. I'm afraid that they aren't getting as much attention now that my granddaughter was born... but they are wonderful with her.
I've considered looking for a mosaic greyhound pattern and making something for them. I'm not that far along though. :)

I'm sure they'd love a greyhound mosaic! I've been thinking of trying to do a picture of my two on something one of these days- once I've got a bit more experience under my belt.

I have so many things I'd love to try, and since looking here, I look at the world with new eyes - Everything I see seems to be crying out to be mosaiced :)

Since I may be moving in a few months, I'm trying not to get a huge collection of stuff yet. Just reading up and absorbing as much information as possible - and I've learned a huge amount from this forum already - thanks everyone!

I wanted to change mine a while back also because I found out there was a website for a Crackpotmosaics but couldn't change it here so since I'm crackpotannie guess it's O.k. I just wouldn't have picked someone elses name had I known it at the time.
