My DD's first mosaic project

When we found the zebra beads, she decided to try mosaicing a birdhouse. We hit a GS a while ago that had a lot of jewelry that was a quarter a bag so we bought almost all of it. We glued 2 of the necklaces we got to the birdhouse. She was really surprised at how well it came out. I think it came out great!!!

She is 23, she LOVES zebra and her favorite color is pink. She always doubts her crafting talents and tries to compare her stuff to mine. I keep telling her that I craft all the time and if she looks closely at my stuff she can find errors in them and that the more she does it, the better she will get! This one came out perfectly for her and she was able to do it in just a couple of hours of work. She is encouraged to try mosaicing something else now!

Oh what a little mosaicing princess she is already. Had this message all ready to submit and got a phone call and it screwed it all up. Uh oh - your last sentence says she's already hooked. Great hobby, and a great mom for introducing her to it.

I LOVE it. I also love Zebras and pink but never thought to put them together. Hummmmmmmmmmmm Getting my creative juices going. I love the necklace idea too. Good Job.

I have always LOVED pink and zebra; a lot of my old sorority t-shirts are done in pink and zebra!! Actually, zebra print looks terrific with every color. What a fun mother-daughter project! Great job!

BAMA..my DD loved your "GO DD"

Slow, her next project can make or break her, if it goes as smoothly as this, okay, but if she has some problems with it she could change her mind and decide she doesn't want to mosaic anything else.

Just be right there w/her to smooth out any possible problems so she won't HAVE any. Speaking from experience, and reading about others, I am a firm believer that once a person starts mosaics, she/he are immediately addicted.

Love the pink and black,reminds me of my bedroom furniture from high school it was pink and black...telling my age??????????DD did a great job she needs to keep going!
