Living the Venice Workshop. History, theory and application of Mosaic art.

Enzo Aiello runs mosaic art courses in his mosaic school, in Rome, near S. Giovanni Basilica. He has studied and worked in Vatican Studio of Mosaic. Lessons are held in English and Italian. An attendance certificate is issued at the end of the Mosaic Art Course. Tunisia

Advanced Mosaic Workshop in Tunisia at the OpioCarthage Factory, Tunis, Tunisia

Join Sonia for an advanced mosaic workshop where mosaic is a centuries old tradition and enjoy the welcome of a culture with a rich tradition of hospitality and kindness. The class will explore color, light and texture working direct in a mix of vitreous glass (opaque, transparent, flamme, etc.) as well as marble, the Romans' traditional material. Technically there will be extensive inquiry into cutting techniques, methods of laying and broadening your skill set. One day will be spent visiting the Bardo Museum, the largest collection of Roman mosaics in the world. We will also visit Carthage and see the Roman mosaics in their archeological setting.

Glass Mosaic: Light and Texture in Turkey at The Glass Furnace
