L-O-P! Oh My!!! I guess it depends how small of peices you want to go! I stopped by a mosaic shop today and WOW! They have some really cool stuff in there and sell mosaic tiles and such, gotta check it out when they are open! They used some 1/4inch square tile that was amazing! A whole 6ftx4ft mural!!! All 1/4inch and smaller!!! That was on a flat surface, but I just Love 3d surfaces like what you are talking about. Never woulda thunk crash glass! Good idea!

Howling w/laughter here, KEL, absolutely! That's what I LOVE about this forum - never a dull day. That's a great idea on the crash glass cuz you wouldn't have any sharp edges, unless you tumbled your stained glass. You just have to decide on a color, and if it were mine, I wouldn't try to stay realistic - I'd probably go crazy and do a multi-colored combo or polka dots or - you know - it doesn't have to be REAL.

Well, I will post pics because my camera is only partially broken. So I will post some pics hopefully tomorrow morning before school.
Squirrely, Jane, Slow- I'm glad you got a laugh! I was pretty tired when I wrote about the puke. Duh. Anyway I'm a little depressed right now. Since school started last week, I have realized what little time I actually have to do anything fun!!! It sucks. I've already got my next two projects picked out at the concrete place...I have a feeling they will begin to pile up. I really like my job, and my class this year is great...its just that...working leaves less time for hobbies. But I guess you have to pay for hobbies...that means a job....oy, I'm tired. I like to work and I like to work hard. But, I work a ways away from my home. Add it all up and I spend ten hours a week in the car. I can't grade papers, mosaic, sleep, walk my dogs, work out, nothing. I shouldn't complain, I have a job that I like to do. Not very many people can say that!

Totally understand what you're saying, KELLY: I well remember those days of trying to juggle everything and work in the hobbies, but it's like I tell my DD who complains about the job she HATES, it makes the time you DO have to play even sweeter. I had so many hobbies, that I worried that once I was retired and my hobbies became my daily routine, that it would get boring. NOT. My complaint now is that I just don't have the staying power I had in my youth when I could work into the night. Then, of course, mosaicing gobbled up all the other hobbies, and even if I COULD mosaic all day and half the night it still wouldn't be enough time. Just have to accept some things w/a **sigh** and keep on keeping on.

Kelly, from a semi retired teacher, thanks for all you do for the kids. Teaching is such a hard job and its wonderful to have dedicated, enthusiastic teachers like you.

Your hobbies are part of what make you a better person, even when you don't have all of the time you want. I applaude you for juggling it all.

Slow, I am so glad to hear that you don't get tired of doing your hobbies when you retire. I am just loving my mosaics which I never knew I would be so consumed by this hobby 2 years ago. It's like my glass shop is my little office and I miss it if I don't spend some time there everyday.

I know how you feel about the work thing cutting in. I feel more like Slow's DD as I HATE my job! They are about to make some changes. If I end up on some sort of midnight shift, everything becomes secondary to "When can I sleep!" Been there,done that. Or I can take a lower paying position, which will affect my retirement. My calculator and I are going to be close friends for the next month or so!! Only 3 years left!
