I just had some windows installed by Sears. I went to them because of the name and warranty. I can say truthfully I wish I had never used Sears. The installer did a horrific job. They never covered the furniture, nor the window opening and the clean up was extensive. The caulk used was Silicone and was not the paintable type. The caulking was so sloppy that another contractor (quality control) had to come out and try to clean it up. He did a much better job, but not to my satisfaction. Now the rep is flying out to inpsect the job because I want a credit on the bill and I want the job done right. While I am extrememly happy with the quality of the windows I am extremely unhappy about the install. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so what was the outcome?
