Please Help w/ Color Flow

I need help to make sure I have good color flow through the "public" portions of the new house we're building in SC. We live in Houston, so I won't have a chance to do swatches on the walls. However, I do have a super sweet future neighbor who would likely be willing to look at swatches & give me feedback.

The plan is to do a custom mixed camel in the foyer & living room and then a half strength of that color for the hallways and smaller rooms like laundry & utility. This is a great warm neutral for us that should work with the other colors.

The dining room will have high (6') recessed panel wainscot in the trim color and, on the 1st go around, we chose for the walls SW Blue Peacock (historic color from Jazz Age set.) to evoke Whistler's Peacock room at the Freer Gallery in DC. (Also plan to do the powder room this way and paint a golden peacock on the wall as a poor imitation of Whistler.)

The trick is flowing to the wall color for the kitchen/banquette/keeping room area. The paint lady picked out BM Atmospheric from the Affinity deck. I think it is a gorgeous color that does work well with Blue Peacock, but once I got home and kept looking at it, is just feels too green for our granite. I really think I need to get the right color to play to the granite and then back into the green-blue for the dining room walls. The perimeter cabinets are going to be white and there is a small baking center island that will be black (another topic) with white marble top.

We were there the week before last & I took some pictures to help out.

View from front door, across foyer to great room with French doors to deck that isn't built, yet:

View from in the kitchen with the barrel arch to the great room on left, the breakfast banquette in the center and the keeping room on the right:

View from dining room, through the barrel arch to the view of the kitchen:

Here are pictures of our actual slab and a closeup:

I'm not sure if even these pix capture it, but the slab does have some veins that are creamy grey and others that really feel blue. In any event, Atmospheric just feels too green for the blueness of the granite. We're thinking that a greyed blue might be better, but we don't want the rooms to come out too cool. The floors will be red oak with a hickory stain. The octagonal ceiling over the banquette area and the double vaulted ceiling in the keeping room will be a light stained wood, so that should add some warmth.

Any suggestions for kitchen area color would be greatly appreciated and then we can work the dining room, from there. Looking at my BM fandecks, we thought of Wedgewood Gray or Buxton Blue.

Thanks for the help - Jo Ann
