This particular table was custom designed by our designers in our designers and made by a local company in BC. The black 'stuff' is called chinking (which is a material that is used to fill the gaps between logs, in this case the chinking is black.)

very familiar with "chinking" had a 2 story log house in Rathdrom Idaho, but of course, it was white and not black, so it was difficult to know that it was the same, very creative idea for table.
