I think your quote is very reasonable for a quality window like the Simonton Impressions. In fact it's so reasonable that I would contact the company and make sure they are still willing to do it for that price.

You can always ask if they will install the alarm for you but I don't see it as a bargaining chip if they are willing to absorb the price increase on the krypton gas.

We do not reinstall alarms because a Security Alarm License is needed and if the customer starts getting false alarms after the window installation, the Contractor Board is going to to come looking for us. There are also fines if the customer has too many false alarms, which of course they would expect us to pay for. But, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks for the advice Skydawggy. I did call the window company and told them it is a "go" and just need to fine tune some questions. In another post of mine, you mentioned the foam spray Hilti. Should I get this in writing on our contract? Also, I am wondering if we should have them install the styrofoam sill seal underneath the windows as well. Your thoughts please.
