That idea is coolio! I see those glass globes all the time at thrift stores! Hmmm... globes ... I have an outdated globe my kids used when we home schooled :::mumble mumble:: years ago that might work if I line it with a plastic bag ... and the plastic bag would add interesting texture to the cement ...

I am finally home from work, had to work till 9pm, jeesh. You should be fine to crack open your lights if you poured on Sunday. Cement cures slowly, it is at about 90% of it's strength a week after you pour it. It will be darker or wetter looking initially and will lighten up as it cures.I've also used hypertufa mixes for this. I've also just painted them. Done a black base coat and then sponged mettalics and various earthy colors and used them on small metal stands like a gazing ball

I did a cement column and a cement ball, just painted them purple, I bet some mosaic would bling it right up.

Oh, KLINGER - would LOVE to see your whole yard. I'll bet it's just filled w/interesting concrete work. Yeah, I can see the one just above mosaiced. Are you planning to do so - in your "spare" time? Beautiful lilies too.
