Requesting Immediate Feedback - Ebay Auction

I have been watching this auction for a few days. I like the dresser and do need storage.. but I am wondering if this piece could be adapted to use for storage other than clothing. I could see it in a bathroom but I don't need bathroom storage. Do you think I could use the pull out drawers on the top for DVDs?

I am thinking of using it in the LR for DVDs or in the guest room/kids room for DVDs or art supplies.

For this price, I won't hesitate at all.. but I suspect the price may go up so I want to determine how much it is worth to me.

It's cute, could even be painted, and I would store anything from gift wrap to socks to whatever in it.

I definitely was thinking about painting it-- but was leaving that option open depending on where I used it.

For that price, I say grab it. It's a cute piece and you probably can do a lot with it. Let's put it this way-- if you don't bid on it, as soon as the auction ends, you'll think of the perfect space and use for it ;0)

well, i lost the auction. I was too low with my initial bid and too slow with my follow up bid. Two hours ago I was mildly interested.. now I am pissed. :(

I've lost and felt that way, bummer. It taught me to snipe. I don't always put in a high bid early because of shilling.
    Better luck next time.

Yep, fwiw, funkyart, what I do is figure out my max bid and enter it about 15-10 seconds before the end of the auction. That way, if I'm outbid, I know it's because I wouldn't have wanted to go any higher. I've won this way and lost this way and it helps my sense of justice, actually, because I know the piece goes for close to what I think it should go for. Hope this can help next time.

Oooo sorry you missed out on that one. It was very cute and would've worked to store a variety of things. I really hate when I decide I want something on ebay and then don't win. There's two times I remember well that were old pieces of jewelry. I could still kick myself for not bidding higher.

    Oh, sorry Funkyart.
I thought it was a terrific piece with lots of possibilities w/r/t storage.

Next time, two words: Auction Sentry.
When Dan first created it, I was one of the first to find it and try it out (30 day trial).
I bought it after my trial period and haven't lost an auction yet....and yes, I DO bid a LOT. *grin*
I've had my AS...... I think but don't hold me to it...about 5 years now.

When AS got too big, Dan sold it and not too much has changed other than the new company having a Deluxe version.

I didn't know Dan from Adam but had a lot of questions about AS when I first started and I sent so many emails with questions, we got on a first name basis. LOL

I've tried LOTS of trial versions of Snipe programs but so far, I have stuck with AS because it has every feature I need whether I am Buying or Selling.
No need to ever sit by your computer close to auction's end.
Set your bid...the highest amount you are willing to pay (including any shipping and insurance). Then set how many seconds til end of auction that you want your snipe to enter your bid.

I hope you run across another chest soon, as nice as this one and at a reasonable cost.

eh.. it was my fault. I waited until the end but then played my game of first bidding what I WANT to pay and then my top dollar. The dog needed my attention and well, I delayed just a second too long.

I havent tried any of the sniper programs but I appreciate the recommendation. I'll check it out.

One update-- the seller contacted me immediately and thought there was a chance the winner wouldnt get the chest because he didnt realize it was pick up only-- her follow up email said he was going to drive in from VA to pick it up. We'll see. I will buy it if the sale falls through.
