We bought a front door -mahogany and glass and it needs to be sealed, stained and varnished.
It was supposed to be done by our GC who walked out and officially we only had 48 hours to do this to have a warranty on the door....I need to get this done and I want to make sure that the guy I give it to to stain/ varnish does it right - please advise what the best sealant and stain product is and varnish - what hold up best to the elements?
how many coats of each does it need?

( also how bad is it that the door has been in my garage for a week and a half - how quickly do they start to warp??)
