Son and his first try.

He sees me doing stuff all the time and we were out shopping and he wanted to do an angel. So found a little one for him to do. He picked the colors and sat and did it himself. He has downs syndrome. I just have to grout it yet. BF said i am creating a monster. LOL.........

WOW! How sweet! I wish I could get my DD to do something with me, maybe with my new craft room she'll be inspired again. She started a stained glass box that is 1/2 done but she lost interest...

Cute:) Maybe he can make a few more for decorations for the tree or gifts.

That is really a "precious moment" How wonderful for the 2 of you. My 14 year old told me she wanted to make something for her grandma tonight! I was so thrilled. I even cleaned up my studio for the event. Loved the pics!!!

    You said it all.

How wonderful! How proud he will be to hang that on your family tree.

Oh Gretch... I love these pictures. Hooray for your son! He did a GREAT job!!! ( And you obviously are a special Mom. :) My sister-in-law had downs syndrome. She was so VERY special to me. When we visited I'd take little craft things to do with her. We painted ceramics... did long stitch needle point, etc. Your pictures bring back many special memories. She just passed away a few months ago. She was 56 and her smile will always be with me. :)

Please share the grouted pictures with us when it's finished. :)

OH Gretch How wonderful that your son wanted to join in on your mosaics. He looks like he was enjoying it so much. The scary part is he has the look of an addict already. His concentration. His hands poised just so ready to pick up the next perfect piece. I am afraid Gretch your BF is right. There will be no stopping him now. I don't think you are creating a monster though I think he is going to be an artist.

    GOOD JOB!!

Have you grouted it yet? Is he wanting to do another piece?

Everyone has already said it and when I saw it the word precious came to mind. Obviously it came to everyone else's mind as it was used in several posts. This, like SUSIE says, touches my heart. Kiss that little artist for me. He is doing an excellent job. Oh what a joy to see him. Bless you for being such a terrific mom.

I like how he made her face pink :) Very, very sweet! I would make a blow-up and frame the middle photo!

The MOST content, loving people I have ever known had Down's syndrome. You are blessed!
