I would try for something similar but obviously different....and hang them at slightly different heighths, the new one about 6" higher. Look for another (or two) in which the cord is dark, the glass is the clear but the shape is different. Great finishes - nice bath! I think not matching the pendants will add a nice kick here. (put them on a dimmer : ))

I concur with you about being over the "open concept", specifically, the kitchen over-looking a main living area; layouts that suit me are kitchens with room for seating that are adjacent to, not open to, the living and dining areas. Open concepts are nice for parties, design photographs, but not every-day living - based on my experience.

Thanks for the responses! I liked the idea of a different fixture. Hooray for the end of the open concept concept! Someone on houzz recently commented, "Who wants to look at dirty dishes and a splattered stove while dining?" Amen! \

Hi ~ I don't know how you would become a contributor - maybe work up an ideabook, along the lines of the ones featured, and submit it to the Houzz Wizard....? Go for it...your point of view is interesting...and it might be fun. : ) Post pix when you get your mixed pendants hung...or sooner!

I didn't know it was that simple. I love houzz.com and check it daily, alogn with my email and facebook. I recognize the photos that are used the most frequently. I wonder where they all come from. But thanks -- and when I finish the bath, which will include a vessel sink and a vanity I intend to build myself, wood floors and a door to my walk-in closet. Lots of reno to do!
