Lighthouse - before and after

I'm almost finished with it . I need to get some more grout off , do some gluing and seal it . I'm not sure I'm happy with it yet. But here it is .

I don't like the grout on the bottom of the roof . It's too chunky. I wonder if can scrape it off and do it thinner.

Use sandpaper, or a file on it.

Add mirror tiles!!!

Can you tell me again what the deal is with the windows, and how you did those? I didn't really "get it."

The windows are strips of mirror going up & down all the way around .... It reminds me of a merry go round ! There's ball chain seperating each mirror. I used Lexel caulk on the mirrors - hopefully that won't eat the back off !

( I think I'm going to chip the grout off of the roof and do it thinner. *Sheesh* I'm my own worst critic !)

Ok, what part did I screw up thinking this was an old Rx bottle cut up??? (I told you I didn't get it. Something is connecting the wrong parts in my head)

I really like it, even the grout part that your gonna chip of. Yes we always are our own worst critic.

What did you use arount the top of the bottle? The part that is sticking out and looks like petals. I cant tell what kind of glass pieces you used there, they look wonderful though!

Amazing how realistic it looks! I've not seen one in person, but that's exactly how lighthouses appear in photos! GREAT JOB!!

TMG, I think it is quite a dazzling lighthouse! Not sure one ever looked better. BEAUTIFUL job!

I like it too!! I love your creativity!!! Hard to imagine it was just a bottle before you saw it, bought it and made it wonderful.
