For the past several weeks I've been working on the stepping stone project for my place of employment. (Some of you may remember we're creating stepping stones as a fund raiser and several folks here have generously donated scrap glass :-) I've made (I think) about 35 designs, roughly 10 are duplicates and the rest are one of a kinds (may be a couple of the same designs but in different colors). They've all been created using the indirect method since that was the easiest way to work at my desk and transport them.

Well, today I got started thinsetting them ALL to the stones. I've just about finished that phase and am waiting on them to set up. Then comes grouting! And that raises a question ~ do y'all think black copier toner would be okay to use to tint the white grout hubby purchased by mistake? He was kind enough to open it for me and put it in a plastic bucket with a lid, so there's no returning it. I'd like to tint it light gray. Do you think that's feasible?

Also - KUDOS for Lowes! They donated 4 pails of thinset!! That was a savings of roughly $80!

So, what do y'all think about the toner/grout thing? Any other ideas if the toner won't work?
