Since we are opening gifts in Dallas on NY's weekend, Grand D. invited her best friend to join us. This is a cabinet door from the surplus store W/grout in charcoal tomorrow.

Oh, how pretty. She'll love it. Is the inset wood or glass?
The other one is really nice too. Love the heart with the squirly boobs.

I think I have had that same cabinet door sitting behind my workbench for YEARS!

You are such a giving person. I'm honored to "know" you.

LOVE them both! Is one for Katie? For a minute I thought it was two-sided. Really wonderful gifts!

Hey, y'all. Working on Lally, and just checking in on a bathroom run. Good grief! Thank y'all. Just the flower is for a Christmas gift. Gave the other one in that album to a friend already. BIANCHI - it's a wood inset. WENCH - thanks, but it is I who am honored to be a part of this forum. I LOVE this place. I had picked these doors up when I was making poly clay tiles, but they are wonderful for any kind of mosaic wall hangings. Gotta go get some more. Have run out of floor space, now going to the walls. No, ROSIE, the flower one is just for Jen. This was a request from DD - Kate has enough mosaics for awhile. Trying not to force them on family until requested.

Oh I love it!, your little painting designs on things are also very inspiring to me! The frame work is cool.

when I'm your age... I want to be cool!

and yep, love that lady in the apron too.

so we can expect a Lally update soon too huh?

What a lucky girl too. She gets a Slow original...do you know
what most of us would do for one of those??!!

So cute! She will be pleased, I am sure - I know I would be! Can't believe how fast you come up with the idea and then just JUMP on it and complete it in a flash!!

Slow they are both wonderful!!! I really am glad to see you back into doing your mosaics!! You have not lost your touch at all. She will love it.

I have a single cabinet door I thought to put drawer handles on each end on top and mosaic it and use it for a tray. When not being used for a tray I thought it could be hung on the wall as art. Seeing your door is really making me want to do this sooner than later. DANG so many ideas so little time.

Y'all make me REALLY LOL here. NT - wish I could claim the idea of designs on the frame, but I took inspiration from Laurie Mika on that one. The girl's "apron" is an old piece of tin - it's her skirt. I put darts in the top so it w/stand out 3-D. Was interrupted while working on Lally three times yesterday - a visitor and two phone calls, so gave up. Maybe later today for an update. HAZIE - that makes me feel pretty humble. Come see me and I'll whip one out for YOU. SHADES - that's a great idea for a tray. SHRTY - on the other gift, the boobs are pieces off a stretchy belt. Thanks y'all.

You two are a riot! Just wiped it up and boy, are flat, small things a breeze to grout! Now I'm pacing the floor for the next subject, but w/settle down to Lally after I bake a cake. Thanks, you two.
