OH WOW!!!!!!!!!! I'm in love with the ghost of butterflies past!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link, Bama. I so admire her talent! I stumbled on Irina Charny's site when I first got interested in mosaics... LOVE her work!!!
I have in mind making an "in the style of I.C." butterfly for the wall of our carport one day... one day. We live in a very wooded area and the flat/plain wall of the carport greets everyone who drives in the driveway.... it NEEDS a butterfly! And *I* need to stop adding to my TBM idea list!!! :)

Has anyone seen her work? I've wondered if they are cutout... ? Intended to be hung on the wall? Do you know what substrate she works on?

Did you see the 2nd page of butterflies? This one is a yard stake. I think the others are wall art, but I'm not sure. If you look at the picture of the magazine page (click to enlarge), you can see how thin the wings are. I'm wondering if perhaps she used the 1/4" WEDI board.
I emailed her asking about it. If I get a reply I'll let you know.

I would have had to have started many years ago to ever achieve any where near that kind of artistic ability!!! OH WOW and QUADRUPLE DAWG SNOT pretty much sums it up. I want to know where that kind of talent comes from and how does one get there? Too bad I've gotten too caught up in the doldrum of survival to take off on a journey to search for that creative place.

Oh YES...I'm a big fan of hers........she is AMAZING.........I've never seen the garden stake, however, and some of the other stuff....I'm drooling all over my pitiful self.........................!
