I love the hutch and table. Everything is so pretty! I do think the chandelier is a bit heavy for the room. Here is one at Ballard that I love and have in my breakfast area.

Although I like mamorella's chandelier a lot, I would opt for something very simple and more like the one Tibb showed. I think anything fancy or fussy will detract from your beautiful hutch and just make the room too busy. Color-wise, I would go with either gold-toned, oil-rubbed, or the wrought iron. The darker shades would coordinate with the hardware on the hutch while the bright brass or gold would pick up the painted edge.

I also think something more see-through in style.

The one you already--does it look better without the shades on it? The shades look like they are no longer in good shape.

Might it also look better painted a lighter color to "go" better with the hutch?

I really like your light fixture, and I think it fits very well with the decorations on the hutch.
However, it may need some updating. try spray painting it with some antique gold. to match the hutch and replace the shades.

I think you should first paint it a cream color and then make judicious use of gold rub 'n buff. Then get light green fabric shades.

Thank you all. I took the little tops off and it looks 100% better already! (smacks self in the head ...) I will post a picture tomorrow.

Does anyone have an idea of the brand or value of the current one? The PO was a bit nuts, so I don't know if this is something that has value. There is a HUGE RH round pillar candle chandelier in the master bath -- it looks ridiculous but it looks like it will be a bear to get down. RH says it is > 100 lbs. Plus ... how to sell it? Sells for >1K on their site.
