Your guest bedroom is very warm, charming and you have a real flair for the feminine side. (That's a good thing). You could be in Victoria Magazine.

Nice color combo. I think the WT are too wimpy. Like the bedspread, not fond of the rug.

threedgrad, am laughing at the wimpy WT. I know it is but the bedding was all sold seperatly at Linens & Things and by the time I bought the comf, 2 dust ruffles all those shams and pillows I had waaaaaaaaaaaay to much in a GR bed so I bought the shorter panels for $60 and draped those mamas on that window. Went back and bought 1 more short panel and did the smaller window. $90 bucks in whimpy look.
$709. plus tax in bedding . Priceless lol.
Give me any ideas for those windows. What would you do?
I have many many wool rugs so can change the rug if its too many flowers.
I even have a 5'x8' lambs wool gold shag? Or a blk wool with a deep rose color border or. Name it .
    Thanks

    I think its purty.
That being said, you called it finished. That means you like it. Now be happy until the bug strikes again and you see something else that will make you happier :)

And take the tag off of the armoire :)

I agree about the window treatment. It appears to be a small room and it just looks like you have to much in it and on top of the furniture. I also think you have to many pillows on the bed. What is a guest suppose to do with all those pillows when they try to get into the bed? Are they just suppose to throw them on the floor?

Gorgeous bedspread - I can see why you spent so much money on it. You probably only needed one dust ruffle (stripped) if you wanted to save money but it is prettier with the two that you bought.

I also agree that you have way too many throw pillows, espeically for a small room and they don't seem to be really special although that could be that photographing them doesn't show how nice the fabric is. I'd remove all the small ones except the red. You could also probably not use the gold pillows as well. I know when I visit someone I don't like to have to worry about all the pillows and even worse, making the bed the next day and trying to figure out how to put the pillows back on the bed so that it's attractive. Keep pillows simple for guests.

I'm also concerned for a guest that has to deal with that little table (bedside table maybe?) that is covered with pictures, a clock and a vase and lamp - it appears very close to the bed and I'd be afraid of knocking into it with all those things ontop of the table. Guests would appreciate some empty surfaces to put their own things down as they unpack.

I'm also not feeling the window treatments, but that is probably since I'm not a window scarf person - I think if you bought some additional window treatment you could then layer your pretty scarf fabric over it.

I do like your addition of a red pouf - that's a nice soft and cute addition. I know it looks like I have a lot of complaints about your room, but actually I really like it and I'm impressed with how you put it all together. You can tell that you wanted to put together a pretty and cozy guest room and you achieved your goal.

Premier, I know I have lots of stuff every where.
When I look at other home pics, coffee tables are empty,
end tables empty, walls empty. Kitchen counters empty.
Where are those people? What do they like? All I see is furniture. That comes off a showroom floor.
Just about everthing (sitting around) in my home is my nears and dears from friends and family.
I think its the *things* that tells who you are, not the uncluttered furniture.
The little girl with a bird was in my mothers garden.
The two hat boxs, my best friend picked up and gave
to me after finding them in CA (they match my compf).
The two velvet pillows on the bed my SIL brought as a
gift because I made her a cake for her Bunko group.
My whole house has a story. Not the furniture. But the *things* that say who you are.
If I just had one thing sitting up there, I would feel
like my life was half told.
Company can throw the pillows in the chair that now sits beside the tv armoire. Room is 12'x14'.
Go to my bath pics Premier. You will take to your bed! Lol

Very nicely done! Love your wall color, too. I'd just take the two floral pillows and the small black ones off the bed, using either the gold and red or maybe a black and the red.

    Very warm and inviting!

Yes the uncluttered look is in. I didn't suggest that you not display anything on your furniture. I understand that you wish to display things that you hold near and dear. But when you put so many things on an end table, instead of being able to appreciate what is there, it ends up looking like clutter. I was suggesting that you eliminate some things so that what was left could be better displayed. Ten pillows on the bed? As you acquire more things, are you going to squeeze them in? *things* should compliment your house and furniture. The house and furniture should not serve as storage for things.

Very lovely room....I would love to be your guest. :)

You also have a wonderful sense of humor; good for you! ;)

I am going to tweek ( not the same as twick or tweat)the suggestions I received from everyone.
More panels for the windows, less pillows on the bed, a different rug on floor.
I *might* take down the candles off the armoire. That will be my only concession to getting rid of *stuff*. Ok, maybe the greenery too. Now.
Thanks everyone for the compliments and help.
I have so much fun with this decor forum.
I do my own thing but I still do like suggestions.
