Hi lonestargal,
I just joined yesterday. what kinds of projects are you working on?

Currently we are in the middle of a move, but once we get moved in I will be decorating rooms. The basics are there new paint and carpeting so it will be purely superficial, nothing structural. I'll post pictures when I get to a point where I need opinions. Thanks for the welcome.

I just wanted to say "Welcome!". I'm not good at giving advice, but this sure is a good place to receive some great ideas and suggestions.

I'm like Lafonda, not good at giving advice. No Decor DNA in my makeup.
But here, I'm learning so, so, so much about all aspects of decor, color, architecture, even about plants and other accessories that I am sort of addicted to this site and these great decor gurus that give of their time so freely, willingly.

Now, if you want to talk cheap ---errrr....I mean string budget decor with a lot of DIY stuff, I'm your gal. *smile*

I have learned so much on this list that I try to help others despite not having the talent of others on this list. I learn more from seeing actual homes on this list than from the decorating magazines I enjoy and watching HGTV.

Wow! I thought I had seen all the posts the other day and I come back to see even more! I haven't really had a chance to check out or post much, but that will change. I am just moving from the city to the country in the same town. Actually we are moving back to our ranch. We've remodeled the house after having some terrible and destructive renters. We've repainted the entire interior and exterior, put in all new flooring (carpeting and ceramic tile)updated some of the lighting fixtures, replaced all the toilets and one bathroom vanity. I might be forgetting something, but it has taken a while to do all this. Also in the middle of it all we had either a small tornado or very strong straight line winds that caused damage and added to our list.
