i don't know about using it to clean your stone, all i know is i won't even use it on my furniture! i just had my brand new breakfast table refinished because the cleaning person that the GC hired ruined the finish with pledge. it's been banned from our house.

for what it's worth, i just use a damp, hot towel on my marble.

Did we have the same installer? Our installer told us the same thing. He said to use it maybe every couple months. I don't think we'll be using it, though. I'd worry about whatever chemicals are in it on a place where food is prepared!

Super white should definitely be sealed, from what I've heard. The sample piece I tested got very, very faint etch marks when I left vinegar on it for a couple of hours (sealing won't stop that), and it got a slightly darker spot when I left a splotch of red wine on it for a few hours. Do you have an extra piece off of your slab that you can play around with and test? I got a big chunk from my slab that I haven't tested yet (all the testing I did was a piece from a different batch), but I expect it will be similar.

I bought some kind of all-natural granite/marble cleaner at Whole Foods. I haven't tried it yet, and I think I'll test it on the spare chunk of stone first.

How do you care for your super white counters??

I have super white and use Pledge probably every 2 to 3 weeks to clean it. I haven't had any problems so far, but I've only had the counters for about 3 months. I actually love how nice the granite feels after using the Pledge - sort of extra smooth. Not quite sure how to explain it.

I also use it on pretty much everything in the house (mostly because I'm lazy and it would just be soooo taxing to carry a second can/bottle around).

I don't have Super White, but I have quartzite and I would never use a furniture polish product like Pledge on it. I'd be concerned about build up and also about the chemicals on counters where we have food (e.g. kneading bread and forming loaves). We just use a damp towel and then dry for regular clean up. We start with a bit of soapy water for something greasy or after preping raw meat.

We also have super white. No staining or etching here, though I'm seeing a few small scratches here and there. We sealed with Miracle 511 just in case, though our slab isn't particularly porous. Day to day cleaning I use water and a microfiber cloth. I've used Clorox Anywhere Hard Surface sanitizer when needed and seen no harm from it.

I have Donna Sandra Marble which looks so close to Super White... I use Method Marble/Granite cleaner and love it.
