I found some old threads about this particular problem... trying to stuff a decent sized sink into a 24" cabinet. I guess my question now is, will I be able to fit the JULIEN 21x16 in a 24 in cabinet? Here's the link. Thanks!

FYI--I'm guessing from your description that you want a zero (0) radius sink (90° angle corners).

Checkout the BLANCO Element II - Its smaller by an inch than you are looking for.

zero radius is sharp corners in the sink, not rounded. Like a rectangle's corners.

You might also look on ebay and overstock.com. I got one sink each from them. The sink I got from overstock is a Ticor (though it doesn't say it on the site) and is a zero radius. It is not installed yet but is 16 guage stainless steel with zero radius and an offset drain. I think you should consider an offset drain as well.

Offset means the drain is not perfectly centered. Thus, a pot sitting in the middle of your sink doesn't block the drain or stop it up.

Just note that the lower the number, the tougher the steel. Example would be 16 guage stronger than 18 or 20.

We've been dishwasherless for the past 12 years, handwashing in a 21x16 sink with center drain(the sink cab in current kitchen is HUGE, and could have fit a much bigger sink. Could never understand why the people back in the day who planned current nightmare of a kitchen didn't go with a bigger sink??). We've survived but it sure is annoying. offset drain's gonna be a nice new feature. So will be having a dw.
