Honestly, I'm not concerned one bit. I have never seen a ss sink 'fail' or break. The 20 gauge builder grade beauty (16 years old) that I just removed has a lifetime of use in it yet! My ticors have a thick black coating on them so they will be quiet. Many, many people have Ticors on this site and gauge has not been an issue. I do think they should be correctly represented, as it is unethical to tout something as 16 gauge if it is not...but in real daily life the true gauge is neither here nor there to us. That's my opinion at least!

I agree. I really don't see what the big deal is--I have a sink that is probably 47 gauge or something and except for mineral deposits and such, it's still functional after 30 years of abuse, and I know it was the lowest quality builder's grade available when the house was built.
