Don't remember whose kitchen it is, but the tile looks like a 1x2 tumbled slate minibrick. Very pretty --

I might be way off here, but it might spark someone else's knowledge to either confirm or discomfirm my thinking. Last night, I was looking at tile at Home Depot and saw some tumbled slate very similar to your picture with the name "Indian" in it.... Indian Summer, Indian Slate,...??? The ones in this picture look like an enhancer has been used to bring out the colour prior to sealing.

Oh I found it! AKDO desert sand minibrick. Thank you both for helping!

I like it and I think it would go great in my backsplash-less kitchen.

I don't know where you are located but their main showrooms are in Connecticut and Northern California. I am in San Diego and they carry AKDO at International Bath and Tile but not sure if they actually have this exact tile on the floor so I will be contacting them today to see and get a price and sample. They usually charge you for the tile and shipping where I have found if you call the tile shops directly, they will either ship the sample out free or have you just pay shipping. We will see with AKDO, haven't dealt with them yet. I really like this tile also and am hoping I like it as much in person with my counters. Good luck to you.

I believe there is a color of slate tile called "Indian Summer". It has a fair amount of gold/copper in it, along with the gray and black. But the names often mean different things at different stores.

I bought the tile at a local dealer in upstate NY. We used Stonetech Enhancer Pro.
Paid $10.99 sqft for the tile. If you get your hands on a sample I think you'll be pleased.

Thank you very much. I picked up a sample today as well as another and I am going to repost asking opinions and see what I get. I think I know which it will finally be after a year of this so let's see what others think. I am sure they will remember my kitchen from previous posts. The contractor's price I got was $10.20 per sq ft so New York and California are on the same page. Not bad AT ALL considering other tiles I have considered and priced all the way up to Ann Sacks at $120. per sq ft.!!!!
