I ordered two vanities for my new home and I was impressed that they drawers came with the soft close. I ordered the maple bombay. I am torn with the maple stain though, it is not consistent. I know it is the wood species versus the company. I will post a picture but it is hard to see. Mine did not come with hardware.

We are considering cherry and our KD has shown us the finishing process that Decora uses. IT's a 14 step process. Could your maple finish be in the wood itself and not the finish?

I am positive that maple is very difficult to stain, I had custom work done on other maple vanities and requested that they dye stain the finished work as it was too irregular. I am unaware if Decora does this in that 14 step finish. HINT: Don't go with maple wood unless it is a natural color. The samples(6 by 8 inches ) do not reflect the finished product. I did not see the door prior to ordering.
Good luck

Thank you for your input. I will definitely ask questions before ordering. Also our KD gets 20% of the order. I hadn't heard of that either. We are happy to be working with this man who has 40 years experience and award winning work.

Please, avoid Decora at all means. We had a very, very horrible experience with Decora when we did our kitchen remodel around Sept. 2011. The whole project was delayed for more than 4 weeks due to their problems. Look at the video here:
