Ballard tablecloth question.......

I finally ordered a tablecloth for my 30" round table. I went with the caramel color in a twill fabric. It says machine washable but ..... will it shrink?

Even if I don't wash it right when it shows up, with cats I'll eventually want to do that. I'd probably wash it in a handwash or gentle cycle with cold water but what about the dryer? For the cost, it wouldn't make me happy if it ended up too short, iykwim.

I have bought machine washable cushion covers from Ballard for my counter stools. They do shrink a little, but not to the point where I can't get the cushions back in. Of course we sit on those daily, so the covers resume their shape pretty quickly. I would definitely wash in cold water if you wanted to throw it into the machine :)

what's the fabric? Cotton will shrink....as will rayon. Poly, dacron or nylon won't shrink.

Well I feel silly.... I thought twill was a the fabric. I see in the specifications it's 100% cotton. Looks like I'll line dry to be safe. There isn't a dry cleaner anywhere near me.

Heads up, they're now having free standard shipping plus 10% off for orders over $50. I had the 10% discount but the free shipping would've been nice.

Shee, I'd follow the washing instructions on the tablecloth. I just bought a new TC also, and the material is so nice the first thing I looked at was the cleaning instructions. Washable! Whew!

I'm big on table cloths and have many 100% cotton, and if they did shrink, I never noticed it.
