That make this fun.

I have been stressing because I needed a 3 inch piece of filler. We are using second hand cabinets and I was having a terrible time finding a stain to match. I had even been trying to mix stains. Last night, totally frustrated, I threw in the towel and decided I would go to SW next week and let a profession try. I was very discouraged.

Today we put down the plywood for the countertops, and decided it was time to move the last cabinet in the kitchen. It is a base for the island which was still in storage in a back room.

DH went back to take the doors off the cabinets, and came walking back into the kitchen with something in his hand. I let out a big "YES!!!

It was the original piece of filler. Someone had put it in the bottom of that base cabinet.
