Paint colors---HELPME!

I'm working on finalizing paint colors for our custom home. Just a little about the home...it is a two-story with master on main floor. We have an open floor plan. The kitchen and great room are rather large and open to each other. The front foyer has an open stair case and the formal dining room to the left and the future office or music room (now to hosts toys for the babies)is to the right. The dining room is open to the foyer and near the great room, open to it with arch ways. We have 10 foot ceiling and a lot of trim work, wainscot, beadboard, crown, etc. That will all be painted "white." The great room built-ins and ceiling beams will be a stained cherry. The kitchen will have the cherry stain also, except a large island and desk area will be cream. I want to keep this light, open and casual. I'm imagining the majority of the home in something more golden. I would like the dining room to be in the red family. The powder room will be wall-paper. I would like to throw in more of a sage in the master bath/bed. With that said...

I thought SW Restrained gold, mannered gold and blond would be perfect. I was fairly pleased until I tried a BM sample of some gold colors today too. They were much more yellow. I think a little too yellow for what I have in mind, but very pretty. That kind of showed me that perhaps I need something more yellow than the restraiend gold. It seems I have seen pictures with it looking very yellow. Has anyone else used RG or MG or blonde and do you think they are more yellow/tan/gold and do they change more with the natural sunlight? Any pictures? Any suggestions with something in that line, with perhaps a bit more yellow?

For the dining room....as of now I'm liking BM moroccan red. Any opinions, pictures, suggestions? The lady at ace suggested I use Dreid tomato by ace paint. It is deeper, but I'm not sure that is waht I want.

Also....looking for some wonderful whites/creams for a painted island to go with cherry cabinets and the entire "decor." I don't want a bright white. A nice cream, but not too yellow, too pink...too beige...to ahhhhh! Anyone tried BM's pearl necklace, ivory lyric or distant white?

Thanks for all your help and I'm open to all suggestions!
