Too much sage or leave it alone?

Our master bedroom has been sage for many years in different homes and I can't tell if I'm getting sick of it or could I add more accents in the room without paying for the painter? I like a more contemporary look. (Sorry about the sun glare in the photo)
Would it be bad to have one sage wall and the rest a light grey?

I like the sage too. Personally, I'd focus more on upgrading the fabrics in the room--a lovely bedspread or duvet set that picked up some of the different colors in the room would do wonders, and you might in the long run think about tying together your color palette with drapes or roman blinds as well.

Would either one of these bedspreads go with sage?

Day texture-what do you mean by heavy items on the art wall?

Oh, rinehart07, you have picked one of my very favorite bedspreads of all time--the teal one from West Elm. But it is definitely a teal blue, not a sage. And the striped ones also don't have any sage in them so they won't bring together the browns and tans and sages currently in the room. So while I like all three of these bedspreads in different ways, each is introducing a new color into the mix of your room rather than pulling together the colors you already have (which would be my goal for a bedspread).

I agree with feeny. This room looks good but I think it would behoove you have a simple bed spread like the one in the top image and add some darker colors to the walls as accents. I think you could add a large black and white image above the bed to give it a really beautiful, sophisticated look. Something like this would be perfect. http://www.wallsneedlove.com/coin-view-of-the-empire/

I love the black and white imagine but I literally have about 18" from bed to windows. The artwork I have on the right has teal, orange, black and green. I want another accent color to pop on the bed. That teal bedspread matches the artwork

Maybe I should leave everything alone :)

I would change your comforter, possibly the art to the right of the bed (to match new comforter better) and also drape a throw over your chaise to the left of your bed. I think you'll be glad you kept the sage. (although I can see a change in color of walls to grey on all but one wall and that would work nicely, also...but then would still recommend changing the above) Hope that helps. :)
