Pier One maybe. Or go to estate sales. There are always tons and tons of china pieces at every estate sale I have ever gone to and if you go towards the end of the sale you can usually get fantastic deals. We also got some lovely blue and white plates at an antique/flea market.

Oh yes, check out antique stores and flea markets. I've even found pretty plates at thrift stores.

Vintage silverplate platters just a bit larger than dinnerplates are remarkably inexpensive, given the rising price of silver and gold. Look at Goodwill, estate sales, garage sales. My generation (married late 60s early 70s) got this stuff for wedding presents, often because our cheap relatives got them at the bank when they made a savings deposit! The brides didn't want to keep them tarnish free so they put them away and now they're downsizing and their kids don't want to polish them either. I have two of them in a box destined for the Goodwill right now.

I just found this online. White porcelain plates at a fair price and looks beautiful. The plates have a green ribbon to hang them, but you could change out the ribbon to match any color you have.

Try Ebay, the "pottery and glass" category. You can often find lots of several items or partial sets for sale. If you aren't looking for a specific manufacturer or pattern, they can be fairly inexpensive. Of course, you do have to pay for shipping.

Try garage sales, antique & thrift stores, Goodwill, Freecycle, or some of the discount stores like Ross, Marshall's, Home Goods, etc.

Thanks guys! A trip to TJMaxx and Marshall's gave me a few options for very little $$'s. I'll check the local paper for estate sales too.
