Hi Everyone,

We have a kitchen with medium cherry cabinets with peacock green granite. Facing southeast so fairly bright. On the opposite side of the kitchen is the dining room, 17 x 12. There is approximately a 4 ft opening from the kitchen, opposite end of the room has 3 windows but there is a 4 foot porch overhang outside the windows and it faces northwest - only windows in the room, so it's sort of dark. Dining room set is approx 40 years old (inherited, and I love it!) dark wood and gold upholstery. I am still tring to decide a kitchen wall color as well as dining room. I was thinking SW convivial yellow for the entire kitchen and top of dining room wall with a contrasting lower color in the dining room of SW hunter green or blue shoes - broken up by a chair rail in a white trim color. I love the blue but figure the green will be better to match the kitchen granite?? The kitchen has a 6' island as well as the countertops. I know it doesn't sound too modern, but I think it would look pretty good. Any thoughts? blue vs. green? Ditch both ideas? I'm open to anything. I have been looking at the room for 2 months shaking my head, this is not my area of expertise and not fun anymore. Thanks everyone!
