Best source for bin pulls?

I know Restoration Hardware has them but the reviews seem to be mixed. Preferably, I'm looking for something that's both functional and pleasing to the eye. To me, functional means you can comfortably fit four fingers under the handle (does that even exist?). Any recommendations?

i brought in a lot of hardware samples. i'm a little persnickety about my hardware -oh, who am i kidding? i'm persnickety about everything! anyway, these bin pulls from vandyke's are stunning. nice weight and beautifully made. i prefer the more elongated shape but if you like the rounder, i'm sure the quality would be just as good. i would definitely urge you to order samples so you can best determine which to buy. good luck and happy shopping!

    Any other recommendations?

I dislike the bin pulls made out of formed sheet metal because of the uncomfortably thin edge - I only wanted cast ones. I also prefer the bin pulls where the screws come in from the back so you don't see them, not the pulls where the screws go in from the front.

Amerock has some nice bin pulls - sturdy, nice weight, nice comfortable edges. We used those on some drawers in a printer stand my DH made and considered them for our kitchen. The price is pretty reasonable.

Then I found the Schaub pulls. We liked the wider width available in them. They are listed as 3" because the holes are on a 3" spacing, but the pull is about 5" wide. I've linked to the page with the Bronze finishes, but they have a wide variety of finishes available. We got the ORB finish.

Renovation Supply has some very nice ones. We used the Restoration Hardware Gilmore pulls (4 inch) in Antique Brass -- the color was a match to our original latches, which we kept in the new kitchen. I'm happy with the RH pulls.

I'm using Amerock BP9365-G10 in satin chrome. Since they're not quite as wide or deep as some other bin pulls I've seen (2.5" centers and about 1" deep), I don't know if they'd fit your idea of functional, but I love their look and find them to be functional enough for me.

I can definitely fit all four fingers under my Restoration Hardware bin pulls

I can't remember the name but I know they were nickel and $18/pull. (ouch)

We used these from Top Knobs -- they are very comfortable to grip, and feel very solid, as they are made of solid brass. We are extremely happy with all of our Top Knob hardware.

cloud swift, that's EXACTLY what I'm using! 3" btwn mounting screws, but actual pull is about 4 3/4" or so. Watch out...one listing on ebay has the smaller model number but larger dimensions. They're actually selling the smaller ones.
I was cursing myself for committing to such expensive ones (the one I bought retail was about $20 with tax!), but figured that they would hopefully last longer. So I searched online and found ah turf, which had them for about $13.xx each, no tax, just shipping. Crazy name, but they are a B&M store, so I figured it was much safer than some of these fly-by-night internet companies. Sure enough, they arrived in good time, and no problems with the shipment.

to make up for it, I got cheapie knobs from ebay, at $1 each. I did want the ones that were 1 1/2" across, as opposed to the usual 1 1/4" diameter ones, to match the larger handle of the cup pulls, and had to search a little to find them. they match pretty well, slightly more bronze showing through, but not enough to be an issue.

We're using these Martha Stewart ones from Home Depot. Can't beat $5!
