Yep that about right. We've got a corner wall oven/micro wave cabinet. Our one wall is 179" (~15 ft), the counter from the wall oven to the opposite wall is 130" leaving 49" (4') for the angled cabinet. There's a bit of filler for the side panels but that's less than 2".

Kitchen is in the final stages of completion in these pictures however, you get the idea of how much room a corner wall oven takes.

They may "waste space", but they may improve the usability enough to make it a worthwhile trade-off.

And you will have extra-deep cabinets under and over the oven for storing big stuff. My neighbor had a corner oven installed and they have a pot drawer under it that holds all the tamale pots, roasters and other humongous things.

Check out Alku05's corner ovens...they take up less floor space, but the same wall space...approx 48".

If you have plenty of counterspace, then this can be a great option if it helps make your kitchen more functional.

Plllog, thanks for pointing me to Raynag's kitchen. I was thinking about putting the Advantium at counter height with drawers below and a cabinet with vertical tray storage above. I never would have thought to recess the Advantium so there is counter in front of it instead of being even with the drawers below.

Lazygardens, I had not thought about having extra deep drawers. I just thought I would have 24" deep cabs set at an angle. Since I will likely be doing custom cabinets, I could ask the cabinet maker to go deeper into the corner, depending upon the upcharge.

Buehl, Alku05's corner ovens look great. If we go with a corner oven, we will have less counter space on the range run than I would like, but we will have an island for prep work.

Jeff, Can you tell me the overall size of your kitchen? Thanks. For the 4’ that the corner oven takes up, is it 2’ on one side of the counter and 2’ feet on the connecting counter. I’m not sure if I’m understanding it correctly and I’m trying to measure it out in my kitchen. Thanks again.

Hi I’m trying to measure out a corner double wall oven as well and am having trouble. So it is 48 inches from BOTH sides of the corner? Losing 8 feet total? When I’m drawing it out, I thought it was more like 2 ft from each corner for counter space lost?

It is 48” in both directions, plus fillers adjustments for door clearances. Making it more like 51” in both directions. It is a huge loss of otherwise usable space. Corner placement of appliances should be avoided.
