Anyone with Lefroy Brooks products?

I am tempted to buy a kitchen faucet from this maker that is 50% off. Anyone have any experience with this brand? The faucet that they have is exactly the look that I have been searching for, but haven't been able to find for cheaper.

Thanks GWers!

I have one of their sinks which is really beautiful and was a unique style at the time.

They aren't well known at all in the US. Better known in England. Generally considered to be top quality. Only thing I'd check to be sure that faucet has ceramic filter cartridge and check on service in case. Some of the high end Brit faucets didn't have cartridges before but should have them by now.

Rococo: awesome that it was you that replied...I feel pretty darn good to rely on your opinion and suggestions. Thanks for this! I think I am going to go ahead and buy the island faucet. It's the right price and the right look, and now looks to have fairly reliable quality.

Ceramic filter cartridge! Got it! Will check on that :)

    You're fabulous--thank you!

I am updating this (yes, I see how old this post is, but this is for anyone else who may be thinking of LB) to reflect the fact that, of all of the bathroom products I have purchased for my 3-bathroom NYC apartment, the one that has given me the most trouble is the shower unit from Lefroy Brooks. I have twice had to replace the hand-held shower head due to cracked porcalain (will never buy a porcalain-inlaid bath accessory again!); the cartridge had to be replaced and only a few plumbers in the area are confident about woroking with this brand. So I paid a tremendous amount of money for, granted, top quality plumbers familiar with LB. LB products are classic, heavy and beautiful. Lefroy Brooks products are now made in China, however, although when I purchased my shower they were still manufactured in the UK. There are accessories from another manufacturer that can be subbed in, a fact I just learned when I went to replace my hand-held this week.

Hi ekscrunchy. Can you tell me what manufacturers accessories can be subbed in from? Bought a house that has the 1900 exposed shower and water pressure is not great. Is that an issue you also have? Thanks for your help. Not much info online.

We have Lefroy and have had so many problems. It is incredibly difficult and expensive to repair. Everything is special order. Do not use this product. RUN FAR AWAY.

Exactly the sale problem as danielle!!

Run!!! We have four fixtures from them. Three were defective when installed. I am assuming we will have problems going forward. Here is how bad their return policy is:

    • A customer has 60 days from the ship date to request a return
    • 7-10 business days from receipt of delivery to request shortage or damage claim
    • No returns on parts or units that are or were installed/used
    • Customer must have the original packaging and proof of purchase
    • There is a 25% re-stocking fee for all returns (unless the product is defective)
