I have bamboo. Mine are custom and I don't know about any of the name companies. My boxes are maple plywood, and the fronts are bamboo. Both are zero or ultra low VOC. Although the style of my kitchen is eclectic and not particularly Modern, the cabinets are Euro style slab front. The bamboo itself is a form of plywood. There are inch wide strips on both sides, sandwiching perpendicularly stacked strands. This makes them very strong and sturdy. There is veneer only on the cabinet sides where an appliance is fit in, and on the edges of the shelves.

The real bamboo, especially zero VOC, is very expensive. Many carpenters, especially those who trained in Europe, prefer to use MDF for everything, with veneer. If this is furniture grade MDF there isn't a quality issue. It's heavier than plywood, and is more susceptible to water damage, but it's much truer than plywood. It's very flat and square. Additionally, it can be shaped into things like curves better. Most European cabinets are made this way.

I don't have them but sell the Ultracraft. The slab door in Bamboo is a big seller, looks good, and holds up well. This is my favorite line if cabinetry.

It's also turning into my favorite line. As soon as I finish the living room floor I'm placing my order. The people at the showroom are getting used to me coming in to look at their displays. :)
