Please help choose my countertop

We have white cabinets and hard wood floors. Had my heart set on polished black granite but am not liking what I am hearing about maintenance - we have 3 young children. I've been hearing about Cambria Quartz. Would their black look nice? I don't have a dealer near me and its hard to decide based on tiny chip. Does anyone have Cambria and like it?? THANKS

Quartz can be a great product. With shiny black, whether granite or quartz; I've read you should be prepared for fingerprint maintance.

I too have Ivory cabinets and hardwood floors and after much consideration for weeks I chose New Venetian Gold. I did not want a black and white kitchen and I was going to choose Giallo Ornamental, but today I decided to put a little more color into the room and picked the Venetian Gold. I would like to bring in a Tuscan Look. It is supposed to show no dirt and crumbs. Might be a good choice with children.
