I really love mixing paint and stain together! I think it adds alot of character. I am doing my whole house that way. Before jumping in I used some scrap woods to test the stain on, then tried it up against different paint colors. It gave me an idea of how they would look together.

I also not only mix knobs and pulls, but mix what they are made of. Like nickle bin pulls with glass knobs with nickle pins.

If the actual colors are what I would imagine toasted cashews and a deeper walnut to be, then they sound like they would really complement each other. IMO

Can you come live with me? My husband just saw the first cupboard up and said "Wow, looks like you painted the cupboard." I don't think it was a compliment. Off to the marriage forum, ha ha, jk. Anyways, I will play around and try and get a picture and do that photoshop thing. Thanks for the rah rah. Although, I should have listed to my 5 yr old when she said I should choose a darker colour when I showed her the sample yesterday.
