Layout advise please

I have an updated layout that I have a few questions on.

1. Prep sink location - I keep going back and forth between putting it in the corner (current location)
vs island....thoughts?

2. Trash size - I definitely need the biggest size available. Currently it is only 18" and I don't love the
location. I was actually thinking about putting it to the right of the microwave on the island. If I were
to move the prep sink to the island, that would complicate where to put the trash I think.

3. Two spice racks - seems excessive. Maybe I should just put them in a rack in the cabinets
next to the hood and then make the two banks of drawers bigger.

4. Possible Second dishwasher, where to put it? - Three options:

a. to the left of the current dishwasher
b. Remove lazy susan and put it on the "range wall" with the door opening towards the main sink
c. Move the current dishwasher down (make that cab smaller), move the sink down and put second
dishwasher to the left of the sink. Would lose the lazy susan too? Sink would be off center with the window and upper cabs.

5. Do my aisles seem too wide around the island? I am concerned about the "landing space"
for the fridge.

All input welcome and appreciated!

Well, the spices are easy. Dump the pullout spice racks, make the drawers bigger, and use a drawer or two for those. Yeah, I'm one of those people who leaves the spice drawer open a lot while cooking. I can just picture the bruises after walking into a pullout spice rack. :P

I'd also do drawers instead of rollouts by the main sink. Measure your stuff and get the right drawers, cuz you can't adjust them later (like rollouts), but they are sooooo much nicer.

What does the sink side look like? Is that a window? Will you be keeping any dishes in the kitchen? I don't see a spot to store two dishwashers' full!

I'd prefer the current corner location for the prep sink. Maybe a 27" cab with a smaller sink (16-17"?) leaving elbow room on the right as wide as possible? Then I'd have a trash (15"?) and drawers (no spice rack).

If you decide to have the prep sink on the island, I wouldn't keep the MW there, and decrease the aisle to 48".

On the sink wall, a smaller cab on the left of DW and 18" trash on the right of the sink, and then the susan and the other DW. I think having the 2nd DW on the corner with no susan would make loading/unloading harder. Sink would be off center, but I guess with small bowl on the right, faucet will be centered, or nearly so.

I don't think 44" is too far for landing for fridge, besides you are very close to the range wall. I have a galley kitchen, though there's landing space on the side, 24" away from the fridge, I almost always use the counter across the fridge, nearly 67" away.

I don't see where your 18" Trash cabinet is (eyes are too bad), but we have a full height trash/recycling cabinet with full height bins. The cabinetmaker found out after building the cabinets that the mechanism required a 21" cabinet, but he was able to work his magic and fit the bins in the 18" cabinet. It is one of my favorite things in the new kitchen. BTW, I had him build a drawer facade above the cabinet door (to align with other cabinets) rather than just doing a full height cabinet door.
