Cabinetry Sizing Help...Pls!!

Although this is a bathroom cabinet that I need help with, I decided to post here because so many people have had experience with designing kitchens. And I figured that cabinetry is cabinetry and I really need some focus on what would look best.

The vanity will be wall to wall 78". I am doing double sinks with a bank of drawers in the middle...so it will go something like 2-30" vanities and 1-15" bank of drawers. All 21" deep. I'd like to add a 48"h x 15"w vanity tower on top in the middle. Should the tower be the same width as the bank of drawers (15") or should the tower be smaller?? and what depth would be best?? 7" or 12"?? I can also bump out the 15" bank of drawers to be 24" deep and not 21" deep. I started to think that going with the deeper bank of drawers will feel less "boxed" in and create a better visual look, but, then I can't decide on what depth to make the tower.

Any thoughts??

Tks....

The first thing I have to ask is do you need 30" sink bases. Chances are you can get away with 27 or maybe even 24. You'll want as big a drawer bank as possible.

As for the size of the linen tower, I think it would look fine the same or smaller than the drawer bank. You just don't want to take up too much counter space. I like the idea of making the drawers deeper too! I'd keep the linen tower 12 inches deep either way.

If you dont do the tower the same size as the drawer base, it will throw the sink either off centered visually in the center of the 30 inch sink bases, or off center in the 30 inch sink bases depending on where you center the sink. Is the vanity wall an inside wall or an outside wall. If its on an inside wall, you could install the tower into a recess/niche in the wall, wheras you could use a 12 inch deep cabinet, recessed into the wall 3 inches and 9 inches out. I wouldnt jut the drawer base out to 24 if it were me. I could be pursuaded into making it 22 1/2 deep and 40 tall so the adjoinning countertops butted into the cabinet and the center raised with the tower maybe only 36 tall. With a 78 inch wall to wall, I think your looking at a 18 inch drawer base.

@houseful: I can do 2-27" vanities and then a 21" bank of drawers. If I do 2-24" vanities and a 30" bank of drawers the sinks will look out of proportion. No??

@rollie: it's an interior wall and I love the idea of recessing the tower, however, there is a stack in that wall that may make that option even more complicated. The stack may have to get moved and I don't know if I want to do that. Why would you consider the 22-1/2" deep centerpiece and not 24"?? My concern is if I can't recess the tower and the tower is 12" deep then I'm using up too much counter space on the 21" deep bank of drawers. If I go with a 24" then I have more counter space in front of the tower. Not sure if I like the look of raising the height of the bank of drawers and the tower shorter. Have to think about that one.

I wish I knew how to draw or use google sketch!!

I appreciate the suggestions. Keep 'em coming if you think of anything else!!
